1.  How often should I do Pilates?

On your first visit you will fill out a registration form and let me know what your specific body issues and fitness goals are.  From there I will design a program that will fit your specific needs and a road map to achieve your goals.  I have clients that come 2 –3 times per week and some as little as once a week depending on their goals and other physical fitness activities.

2.  What will Performance Pilates do for me?

Performance Pilates will balance your body.  It will build strength where you are week, improve flexibility where you are tight and strengthen and stabilize your core muscles.  With consistency it will significantly improve your posture and alignment, stamina and coordination.

3.  What is the difference between Performance Pilates and Hilliard Studio Method?

Performance Pilates is a personal training program designed to tone and sculpt your body through a combination of controlled movements utilizing unique STOTT Pilates equipment to shape and sculpt long and lean muscles.  It is ideal for anyone at any fitness level.

Hilliard Studio Method is a group pilates-based class.  This method shapes the body efficiently by taking each muscle group to it's limit safely by maintaining proper alignment and posture. Like Pilates the results are a "zipping up effect". I like to call the Hilliard Studio Method "Pilates on steroids!"

4.  How long will it take for me to notice changes in my body?

Joseph Pilates claimed that “You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.”  Of course every body is different.  Your dedication to a consistent practice will greatly determine how long it will take for you to see the results.

5.  Will Pilates flatten and tone my midsection?

Absolutely! In fact the whole focus of Pilates is on the core muscles of the body which is the center of power and control.

6.  I’m overweight, is Pilates doable for me?

Definitely. The stronger your muscles become the more fat you will burn. Pilates lengthens and strengthens muscles and focuses on developing a strong torso.

7.  What should I wear?

For women, comfortable form fitting clothing that moves. For men, a tee shirt and long workout pants or biker shorts under their regular workout shorts.

8.  What is your cancellation policy?

I request that you give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your session.
